About

The Duke MBA—Cross Continent program is designed to help full-time working professionals earn a world-class MBA in only 16 months, and to build a culturally-diverse peer network across the globe.

You will study in locations across the world —  London, Dubai, New Delhi, St. Petersburg, Shanghai/Kunshan, and our home campus in Durham, North Carolina —  as well as at your home via our distance learning platform.

The idea for this blog started out as a means to keep friends and family updated on what it means to do an “Executive” MBA; how I could travel around the world to all sorts of exotic places, study at my home in the United States, and in 16 months be ready to take over the world…

Since that modest beginning in July 2009, The Fuqua Experience has evolved into so much more.  With the help of nearly a dozen of my classmates, the blog covered the full experience of the Duke Fuqua Cross Continent class of 2010d, from admissions to graduation. We met in London in August 2009 in a whirlwind experience, moved on to Dubai in October/November 2009 to firsthand see the ‘City of Gold’…continued onwards to Delhi, Shanghai, St. Petersburg and Durham in 2010…all while continuing to work and trying to keep up with our daily (non-MBA) lives!

Now, the Class of 2011 and the Class of 2012 are continuing on the tradition, writing about their experiences.  The Cross Continent MBA program has made several changes since the re-launch in 2010, but the mission of the Fuqua School of Business still remains the same:  to develop Leaders of Consequence.

I do hope you’ll all stick around in share in The Fuqua Experience.
